FROM THE FIELD
Explore these case studies, recent conferences, and class resources before you enroll.
A collection of guides, conference talks, and work examples drawn directly from recent industry work.
Field guide
3 things to check before you run a MaxDiff or Conjoint.
A pre-flight checklist for choice-based studies. Answer questions about your decision frame, design, and analysis before you field your study.
-
01
Define the decision the model has to inform.
If you cannot name the product, pricing, positioning, or roadmap decision this study will support, the data won't be used. Write the decision out first.
-
02
Pressure-test the attribute and level set.
Internal jargon doesn't always match how users talk about and experience our products. Start with qualitative interviews and do a cognitive walkthrough.
-
03
Plan the analysis before you field the study.
Decide how you will segment, simulate, visualize, and report results. If the analysis plan does not exist before fielding, the data may not answer your questions.
